• The moorhen flea's many hosts include the common moorhen, Eurasian woodcock, grouse, European robin, goldcrest, willow tit, Eurasian treecreeper and blackbirds.
• Typical birds in these areas include Eurasian woodcock (Scolopax rusticola), the common blackbird (Turdus merula azorensis), western Azores goldcrest (Regulus regulus inermis) and Madeiran chaffinch (Fringilla coelebes moreletti).
• With good feeding grounds all around, many native birds and summer visitors breed in the cemetery, including thrushes, wrens, tits, finches, blackcap, chiff chaff, willow warbler, goldcrest while others migrate through.
• The reserve supports woodland and grassland species such as blackcap, linnet, tree pipit, coal tit, goldcrest, turtle dove, great spotted woodpecker, pied wagtail and jackdaw.

• Birds at Naina Devi Himalayan Bird Conservation Reserve include species like the hill partridge, chukar partridge, koklass pheasant, kalij pheasant, goldcrest, rufous sibia, red-billed leiothrix, black-chinned babbler, chestnut-bellied nuthatch, black-throated tit, rock bunting, green-tailed sunbird and yellow-breasted greenfinch.
• Also seen from Highwood Brow viewpoint have been the rough-legged buzzard, goshawks, nightjars, marsh harrier, hobby, goldcrest, woodcock, spotted flycatcher, willow warbler, garden warbler, redpoll and linnet.
